Yule is a time for giving. Ideally it's for giving time to those we love and care for far more than it is about the gifts. However, it gives a nice seasonal trim to a conversation I've had with a few people recently as a result of my advert: The gift of submission.

As a submissive you have a desire to give something to your Dominant, yes? Then make damn sure it is a thing of value, something not given too lightly. No decent Dominant will expect you to just blindly lay your submission before Them. If the Dominant you're talking with shows little interest in you as a person, be wary of the motives of the person. Do they want your submission? Or do they want free porn?

Likewise, if you honestly identify as submissive, then be aware that submission intelligently given is definitely a Dominants favourite. Also, your submission is something you should look after and value. It should not be readily available to any who demand it within three seconds! For the more slavish amongst My readers - remember to look after the goods! It is frankly unrealistic to expect your submission to be taken seriously if you spend it frivolously. None of Us wants anything that's worn thin, cheap and dog-eared! (Well, unless You wanted a 'puppy' for Christmas of course!). Why would I want something tarnished by the touch of many hands? 

Just remember, respect should be earned on both sides of the D/s equation.
