Well it's been a VERY long time since I last posted. Because I'm now returned and I'm being asked by soooooooooo many people, here is a swift update as to what I've been up to. I do NOT want you all to get all maudlin, as the things I've dealt with are faced by many - with plenty of others fielding FAR worse. This post is purely to bring you up to speed and so I don't need to repeat myself in the telling (basically I'm being lazy! LOL!)I have had some health issues that have required adjusting to. I was diagnosed with a heart problem, and until I got used to a new way of being and the medication I take I felt it was fairer (and more sane!) to suspend some activities. It was my intention to return last year having learned how to manage my condition and regain some health/energy. However, sadly my grandfather passed away in August 2012 at the ripe old age of 90. Although this was sad, he'd had a damn good crack at being alive. His funeral was in the first week of September 2012 and this was when my mother was taken into hospital and passed away days later. Luckily I was able to spend some profound time with her and we resolved our estrangement before she died in my arms. Although I'd not change a thing, as you can imagine this is a duel edged blade to cope with. Lucky I'm good with blades! ;)
I definitely do NOT want another week in September like the first one of 2012 thank you VERY much! Since then, I've been licking my wounds, fielding some family issues, and catching back up with vanilla work and commitments.
Now, however, I'm back! I still have a fairly heavy work load to whip back into a decent shape but I've beaten the edges off it and so can be here a little more. I doubt I'll be quite as prolific as I was before for a while, but I AM back :)
Finally, a huge thank you to all of you who have helped, cared for and supported Me while things have been so demanding. You really HAVE made a difference - for a start you've made Me feel blessed in a series of events that could have left Me feeling cursed.
Now it's time to dust off the crops and sharpen those blades - the bitch is back and I'm hungry!
